Hey God's Girl!
Have you ever felt like you were trying so hard to pray "correctly" that you lost sight of the essence of prayer itself? I know I have. I used to find myself mimicking the prayers of well-known figures like Cindy Trim and Juanita Bynum, thinking I had to speak in a certain tone, be loud and bold, and have every word perfectly composed. But you know what? It just felt... off.
It wasn’t until I faced a major letdown and heartbreak that I finally went to God as myself, with all my imperfections and vulnerabilities. I remember the moment vividly—I simply said, "God, can we talk? It's me, just me." And in that moment, something shifted. I realized that God didn't want a performance; He wanted a genuine connection with me.
Can you relate to this struggle? Do you ever feel like you're just not "doing it right" when it comes to prayer? If so, I want you to know that you're not alone. I grew up in the church with a set perception of what prayer should look like. But as I grew in my relationship with Christ, I discovered that He simply wanted me—no frills, no pretenses, just me.
That's why I'm reaching out to you today. I'm hosting a special prayer challenge for women who, like us, desire a deeper connection with God—one that's rooted in simplicity, authenticity, and genuine conversation. It's called "Can We Talk? A Journey to Fearless Communication with God."
In this challenge, we'll debunk common myths about prayer—fear, doubt, uncertainty, insecurity, disappointment, and unworthiness—and instead focus on building a real, raw relationship with God. No fancy words or rehearsed speeches required—just open, honest communication from the heart.
If you're ready to experience the beauty of vulnerability and the power of faith, I invite you to join me on this journey. Let's prioritize God in our lives, talk to Him when we wake up, throughout the day, and before bed. Let's share our feelings, emotions, and ask for direction—just as we are.
